“C&O last night…superb! Everything!”
“Ate at Ventana Monday evening and it was delicious. Ate at Fossett’s Tuesday and almost went to heaven! Just ate at C&O and was superb as well. Looking forward to Old Mill Room tomorrow. I must rave about Fossett’s. I almost died and went to heaven. I ordered the tomato salad, the beef, and the berry with lemon sorbet for dessert. The beef was the best I have EVER had. I can’t even explain how amazing this meal was.”
“Did the Aberdeen Barn on Tuesday. I’ve lived in C’ville for close to 40 years and if you haven’t eaten at the Barn at least once you should. If you like steak and Prime Rib it is a must!”
“Monday night we went to Brasserie Montiel and it was wonderful. I had the Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad - superb! One of the best spinach salads I have had. My wife had the Duck Confit and Savory Peach Upside Down Cake - and we both thought it was delicious with a very generous portion of duck. Duck can be greasy so I am not a big fan, but this was perfect. The main course of Paella and Argentinean Churrasco were both very good. I loved the Paella and the skewered mushrooms and tomatoes from the Churrasco. The Dark Chocolate Genache for desert was heavenly!!!”
“Had a fantastic, if a tad wasabi-crazy, meal at Bang! tonight - I had the sake-steamed shrimp followed by the Sesame-crusted Ahi.”
“So yum doesn’t even begin to describe how good the menu is at Fossett’s during Restaurant Week! ”
“Spiced chickpea cake at Horse&Hound quite delish, atop lightly sautéed sliced squash; companion’s ribeye was ample and tender.”
“Ten was delicious last night, especially the Hawaiian Walu.”
“We went to Aberdeen Barn last night. Wonderful food and service. I had never been before; now there is a good chance I’ll return someday. Restaurant Week is great because you can try new places.”
“Ten was amazing last night. So much food, which was surprising.”
“Just got back from the C&O. All 4 of us had a great time. The food was fabulous!!”

We ate at the melting pot on Friday night.. Excellent food, service and experience will def. go back/ The Barn on saturday night and great food again. Tried to book at Fossett’s they were ready to take reservation until told them it was for restaurant week and then said they were booked. Not leaving a good taste in my mouth.. Really makes me wonder how many reservations they took.
My friend and I ate at “Ventana” last night.
We were VERY disappointed. The appetizer I had was: 4 cold (was told cooked in acid not heat) tiny scallops in “papaya” green unappealing cold sauce; for decoration: one cherry tomato cut in half. The main course – vegetarian dish, the size of a silver dollar pancake crust with few small pieces of squash and maybe 4 crumbs of goat cheese; The desert was peach something and tasted pitifully- it was served with one cherry for decoration, but the cherry had one rotten side. In addition there was 20 % required tip included in the bill. When I called the owner and told him that the dinner was quite disappointing he said “Sorry!” and walked away. He also said that the name of the appetizer dish was such that I should know that the scallops are uncooked. I also asked to taste a rose wine before ordering. Instead of a taste I was given a glass filled with wine by someone and was told: “Here is your wine you can send it back if you don’t want it.” My friend and I were shocked by how uncaring and inattentive the owner and his staff were.
Blue Light Grill’s scallops were the best I have ever had!
