Fossett’s, the upscale restaurant at Keswick Hall, the plush international resort just outside of Charlottesville, reports that except for a few tables on Sunday, it is sold out for the duration of Restaurant Week, which begins Monday, January 25. However, the inn still has some rooms available in case anyone wants to add an accommodation after their meal. As previously reported, Keswick is offering a special space-available midweek rate of $125.

Here’s the Carmello’s Restaurant Week menu. Enjoy!
One can ’skate’ into Ventana
Ventana, the high-tech restaurant/lounge on Water Street, is offering seared sweetbreads, braised lamb with sour cream spaetzle, and a chipotle buttered skate wing among its record-setting six entree choices on its menu. This is Ventana’s first time participating in Restaurant Week, and it’s located virtually next door to charter participants C&O and the Melting Pot. Try them all!
You can sample the creme de Cassis
Cassis, the bistro across Water Street from Lewis & Clark Square, will offer a menu with five entrees during Restaurant Week. Offerings include a salmon filet with truffle-whipped potatoes, a pan-roasted chicken breast with potato gratin, and for traditionalists, a wine-braised beef burgundy. Plus two others and appetizers that include flash-fried oysters and steak tartare.
Town’s gastropub returns with many choices
Charlottesville’s only “gastropub” is back for seconds by presenting a menu that includes braised beef & root vegetables slow roasted in Maredsous 8 double brown ale, along with smashed red bliss potatoes. And that’s just one entree. There are five in all, including corn meal encrusted catfish with country ham & brown sugar collard greens. Horse & Hound has as many menu options this year as any of the participating restaurants— 14 in all. It’s located on West Main, across from First Baptist Church
